She made sure she was laid-back but serious, intelligent but sexy- the type of woman to marry and bring along to a party. It could be insinuated that Amy was struggling with Nick when he was out of work, for example, but in this particular scene Amy’s voiceover blatantly analyzes the deep-rooted issue with the audience while they watch her act the opposite way â€Å"cool girl† would. While she says that â€Å"cool girl† is required to smile and be sexually available, she rebels against this standard through excessive action, rapidly stuffing her mouth with a burger and fries. She continues to make melodramatic gestures by throwing junk food in the shopping cart, negating her narration that states her previous efforts to remain a size two. These movements and decisions are not necessary for her to transition into disguise, but serve to indicate the end of Amy’s fake persona. The shots of her defying â€Å"cool girl† are copious and include downing a liter of soda, throwing items out of the car window, and significant use of profanity. These excessive actions violate the sexy and composed woman that she had always been with Nick and informs the viewer that she has overcome the expectations. In a chaotic, dangerous situation an individual in reality would not think to themselves with such eloquence. Although her narration consists of short statements and profanity, which the average angry person could relate to, her tone is still cool and her words are articulate. Making the non-diegetic commentary easy to follow yet dramatic lets the audience comprehend the point that Amy makes. She states that â€Å"she [the cool girl] likes what he likes†. As Amy drives down the highway she looks over to the other cars and the shots shift to slow motion, as if she is studying the women inside, and calculates what they may have to measure up to in order to relate to their men. It is hyperbole to suggest that the â€Å"edgy† woman must be attempting to look cool for her partner. However, this idea that forming a perso na for a man can be present in various contexts, ranging from hobbies to religious values, is an important point the film gets across. Amy applies her role as the low-key, fun wife to other hypothetical situations, showing that other people can create a faà §ade according to their personal situation. Manager of AW did not push their staff to hit sales or stress them with cleaning up the environment. Manager did not offer additional training or opportunities to attend promoter training. Customer gets their order on time alright, but no additional services like welcoming customer from the door to the seat. As a result, employees of AW neither satisfied nor dissatisfied with their job, and their performance is average. Brandy is a middle-of-the-road-leader. The leader of AW has balanced concern for both production and people, settles for average performance from employees. This leadership is good, but AW manager leadership can be better. Manager should perform like team manager, which very concern about people and high task concern. With this style, AW could maximize the concern for both task and people. At the same time, employees promote active participation and teamwork creates open and comfortable environment, enough to keep staff motivated. (Kat, 2014) In Hersey and Blanchard model, AW Malaysia manager has leadership of participating or supporting. Leader attitude is low task focus with high relationship focus. The worker atmosphere is good but the tasks are not well commitment, able but unwilling or insecure in doing task. Staff of AW can do the job, but is refusing to do and showing insufficient commitment. Manager did not fear about reminding them what to do instead of concern with finding out reason the staff is rejecting and thence encourage them to cooperate. In this case, AW manager are suggested to be delegating and observing, a low task and low relationship style where the leader allows the group to take responsibility for task decisions. Staff at this level has do not need for support or frequent praise, although as with anyone, occasional acknowledgment is always welcome. Staff must have an attitude with h igh willingness and ability to change or motivated. (Hersey, 1999) STRATEGIC CONTROL The balanced scorecard complemented traditional financial measures with criteria that measured performance from three additional perspectives, such as got those of customers, learning and growth, internal business processes and financial. Some companies move beyond early vision for the scorecard to determine its value as the foundation of a new strategic management system. By using that way, the scorecard addresses a serious shortage in traditional management system. (Robert S, 2014) There are four processes in managing strategy, which is translating the vision, communicating and linking, feedback and learning and business planning. AW are recommended to apply this strategy by controlling the company vision and strategy. This strategy helps managers to build a compromise and let managers communicate their strategy up and down the organization and link it to departmental and individual goals. The scorecard would give manager of AW a way of confirming that all levels of the organi zation understand the long-term strategy and that both departmental and individual objectives are united with it. This strategy enables AW to integrate their business and financial plans. When managers use the motivated goals set for balanced scorecard measures as the basis for assigning resources and setting primacies, they can undertake and synchronize only those initiatives that move them toward their objectives. With this strategy also gives companies the volume for strategy learning, company can monitor short-term results from the three additional perspectives and appraise strategy in the light of recent performance. V Container†, it was due to the negligence of 3rd officer in â€Å"M. V Container† who did not condone to Prevention of Collision Regulations 1972 which is a breach of international law, causing the two vessels to collide. Although â€Å"Never Struck† did have a fault of its own, it did not however breach the international law of sea navigations. In applying the rules of Prevention of Collision Regulations 1972, Part A, section 2(a) and section 2(b), referred to as the General Prudential rule and provides for non-conformance with stated rules in order to prevent a collision, because what is paramount is to avoid or minimize the damaging effects of a collision, as opposed to blindly following the rules to the letter. The overall intent is to minimize actual collision taking place rather than rule compliance in itself. Due to negligence on the part of â€Å"M. V Container† she will not be able to claim against â€Å"Never Struck† for the repairs of the cargo hold No 1. The cargo loss in the cargo hold No 1 which was lost due to the accident may however bring about an action in tort. If there was any further loss of cargo which was jettisoned in order to save the ship or expenses incurred after the collision in order to save the adventure may be liable for general average. As for â€Å"Never Struck†, the cargo owner may claim either â€Å"Never Struck† or â€Å"M. V Container† against delays. However it should and would not be considered in general average claims. Same as for the case of â€Å"M. V Container†, the cargo loss which was lost due to the accident may however bring about an action in tort. If there was any further loss of cargo which was jettisoned in order to save the ship or expenses incurred after the collision in order to save the adventure may be liable for general average. 7. CONCLUSION As a conclusion, collisions may lead to a series of claims and actions. These series of events may bring about the application a number of acts. It is important though to understand that General Average only exist if the act of sacrifice or expenditure is voluntary in order to save a common adventure from total loss at sea.
